Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) is Utah’s premier, multi-use racing and entertainment

destination located in Tooele, Utah. Recently acquired by a local investment group,

PV3 Enterprises, UMC is receiving significantly more funding to return it to the world

class facility it was originally designed to be by Larry H. Miller, as the Miller Motorsports

Park.

 

General Summary of Position

This position is responsible for establishing the karting center as the leading, premier

karting experience in Utah, with specific responsibilities to grow the Utah Karting

Championship and public rentals while establishing new membership programs,

leagues and other initiatives to grow and improve the karting community.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The following are the THREE (3) essential duties and responsibilities of this role:

 

1- Grow Utah Karting Championship & competitions by 50% within 18-months

• Connect with the Karting Community and explore ways to improve and

engage the community via Whatsapp, social media, etc

• Explore and bring new karting championships to West Desert
• Manage all race day procedures and staffing
• Ensure all equipment, trophies, tires, karts are properly stocked and maintained.

 

2- Grow Public Karting by 100% within 18-months

• Oversee all karting sales opportunities, including corporate sales, birthday

parties, etc.

• Explore initiatives to increase revenues with theme nights, leagues,

summer camps, retail sales, etc.

• Manage all karting employees hiring, training, scheduling, disciplinary

actions, and operations

• Collaborate with marketing to manage social media channels and

messaging.

• Establish and maintain all vendor and sponsor relationships (tires,

trophies)

 

3-Establish new membership programs and leagues

• Collaborate with the team to launch new member programs and leagues

to increase facility utilization

• Oversee and collaborate on all facility and track upgrades and changes

 

Required Skills

• 5+ years of competitive karting racing experience
• 5+ years of managing a team of diverse backgrounds and ages to perform at a high level of consistent service. Extreme focus on the details and training.
• Collaborate with Executive Team to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work in a dynamic environment, under pressure with tight deadlines
• Proven ability to multitask, detailed-oriented, efficient and with strong customer service skills
• Ability to manage and close corporate sales opportunities
• Retail sales management and/or sales operations preferred
• Independent and quick self-learner
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient Google Suite

 

Reporting

• Reports directly to CEO

• Salary + Bonus (Depending on Experience)
