MotoAmerica Superbikes Return This Weekend
Two Full Days of Racing in Double-Header Event
TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (June 12, 2019) — The best motorcycle road racers in North America return to Utah Motorsports Campus this weekend, June 15-16, for the MotoAmerica Championship of Utah.
The MotoAmerica Championship is the top level of motorcycle road racing in North America and has been a regular visitor to UMC since the track opened as Miller Motorsports Park in 2006. The track is a favorite of the riders, based on its long straights, fast corners and prodigious runoff areas for safety.
“We are thrilled to welcome MotoAmerica back once again,” said Dixon Hunt, UMC Director of Sales and Marketing. “They have been an integral part of our racing calendar for many years, and never fail to put on an amazing show. We encourage all our fans, especially those who have never witnessed a Superbike race in person, to come out and see some of the most exciting competition on the planet. It will be something they will never forget!”
The Utah round will be Round 5 of the 10-round 2019 championship, and riders will be fighting for championship points in five different classes. This will be a double-header event, with two races each for the headlining EBC Brakes Superbike class, the Supersport class and the Liqui Moly Junior Cup, while the Stock 1000 and Twins Cup classes will have one race each on Sunday.
There will be on-track action both days from 8am until 5pm on Saturday, and from 8:30am until 5pm on Sunday. Off the track, there will be numerous fun activities for fans to enjoy, including a Strider Bike Course for kids, the Cycle Gear Fan Party and Rider Meet-and-Greet in the paddock from 5:30-7:30pm on Saturday, a Hot Pit Walk and Autograph Session from 11:45am-12:30pm on Sunday and kart rentals at the UMC Kart Center. Guests arriving on motorcycles can take advantage of a free gear check compliments of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. There will be a variety of food options, including onsite cafes and a food truck.
There are numerous ticket-package offers, ranging from mild to wild, with RV camping options available.
