Salt Lake City, UT – With anticipation building for the return of Nitro World Games, excitement is sure to accelerate with the announcement of the Nitro Rallycross field. 2018 winner Timmy Hansen must face off against a collection of the sport’s top drivers, including Ken Block, Tanner Foust, Travis Pastrana and more, in order to defend his title next weekend. Produced in partnership with the Utah Sports Commission, Nitro World Games returns August 17th at Utah Motorsports Campus.

Speed and Foust come into Nitro Rallycross 2019 vying for the lead in the Americas Rallycross Supercar Championship standings, separated by just five points, after Foust topped the podium at last Sunday’s Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres. Fellow Nitro Rallycross competitors Patrik Sandell and Steve Arpin are also in the ARX top 5. Next weekend, look for these rivalries to intensify even more on the Utah Motorsports Campus track.

In last year’s debut Nitro Rallycross transformed the sport, thanks to an innovative, purpose-built course featuring one of the largest jumps in Rallycross history. The result was an exhilarating, thrill-packed day of racing unlike any other which got pulses racing for both drivers and fans alike. In the adrenaline-charged final, things quickly heated up into an intense battle with none of the competitors willing to take a back seat. Afterwards, drivers gave the inaugural event rave reviews, with Tanner Foust proclaiming Nitro Rallycross had, “The most unique, exciting, fun, amazing Rallycross track ever built.” Foust added, “Universally, all the drivers are saying: This is the most incredible experience I’ve had in a rallycross car.”

Nitro Rallycross Competitors:

Beyond the Rallycross track, Nitro World Games will offer even more premier motorized competition including the record-breaking Moto Quarterpipe, game-changing FMX Best Trick and the new addition of RSD Super Hooligan National Championship flat track racing.
