Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) is excited to announce the creation of a new mega-event over four weekends in October, Beer & Fear Fest!
“We are combining two of Utah’s favorite autumnal celebrations – Oktoberfest and Halloween – into a massive, four-weekend party that we hope will become an annual tradition,” said Dixon Hunt, UMC General Manager.
“We have such a unique and large venue here, and we are constantly looking for better ways to utilize it to create fun, family-friendly events for our friends and neighbors. Our staff came up with the idea for Beer & Fear Fest, and we think it’s going to be a huge hit!”
The inaugural Beer & Fear Fest will take place on Saturday and Sunday over four weekends – October 2-3, 9-10, 16-17 and 23-24. Hours will be from 4pm to 10 pm each day, with a VIP afterparty each Saturday evening from 10pm-12am.
Activities will include a Haunted House, Zombie Paintball, a Haunted Drive-In movie theater, live music (artists TBA) and more. For beer aficionados, there will be 50-plus different types to sample, from local craft brews to more well-known labels. Camping and RV sites will also be available and are highly encouraged. As always, the UMC Kart Track will be open for kart rentals, but patrons who are enjoying the various beer varieties will not be allowed to drive.
There will be racing activities taking place over the first three weekends (Salt City Drift, Oct. 2-3; Sportscar Vintage Racing Association Speed Tour, Oct. 9-10; and NASA Utah sports cars, Oct. 16-17), and although racing activities will be wrapping up when the party commences each day at 4pm, Beer and Fear Fest patrons are welcome to enjoy the action at no extra cost.
Single-day tickets for the inaugural Beer and Fear Fest range from $15-$100, with various packages offering a variety of access and activities. There is also a $5/day ticket for dogs, who are most welcome, and a $10/day per vehicle parking fee. Guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets online in advance and reminded to bring their ID (all guests will be required to show ID).
“We’re really excited for the inaugural Beer & Fear Fest,” continued Hunt. “We can’t wait to see all the great costumes and smiling faces. Admittedly, we’re looking forward to hearing the screams of terror, too! We hope everyone will come out and join us for four weekends of fun.”
