As we continue to take a look at ‘Behind the Gates’, our next installment of this segment allowed us to sit down with Falcon Graphics’ Clark Hill. One of the longest-standing tenants at the Utah Motorsports Campus, Falcon Graphics has been on site since moving their business to the facility in the second year of existence and has become one of the UMC stalwarts.
Falcon Graphics: In 2007 I was asked by Greg Miller to move my biz to the Utah Motorsports Campus, Miller Motorsports Park at the time. I said I would be glad to, but that I wanted to make all the signage for the facility. It was a quick transaction as Greg responded with, “Then you are making all the signs.” It was the best move of my life.
UMC: Your company has a large presence trackside. How did you get your start, how long have you been involved in motorsports and what are your future plans?
Falcon Graphics: I’ve been messing around with graphics since I was four years old. I started my actual business when I was 18 and attending Dixie College. I was new to motorsports in 2007, and I plan on staying in it forever. The people in this arena are the best, as a whole, that I’ve ever been around!
UMC: Why did you choose UMC as your home base?
Falcon Graphics: Former Owner Greg Miller and I had a sign company together in the 90s. He knew right away that the company MMP used the first season for signs was robbing the facility blind. After agreeing that I would make all the signage beginning at the start of season two, I have been here ever since.
UMC: Can you tell us a little about your customer base and your programs?
Falcon Graphics: Several of my customers have been with me since the 1980s including Crus Oil, LHM Companies, Sahara, and more. My favorites here are Ian Lacy Racing, the Utah Motorsports Campus, Tatum Racing, Streamline Designs, NASA, Velocity, and others. I can’t think of anyone here that I don’t like 🙂
We offer vehicle wraps, signs, banners, decals, and more. If we don’t offer it, just ask and we can likely produce it for you!
UMC: Anything else you want to share with our readers?
Falcon Graphics: I would encourage anyone to get involved with UMC and get to know some of the great people here. There are some very talented businesses and individuals right on site. Ian lacy (a world-class driver who was only a sponsor short of a career in INDYCAR), Jody Nieman (an All-American golfer in college and played on the LPGA Tour), Lucio Arriagada (best worker and vinyl installer on the planet) and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
UMC: Thank you for taking the time to sit down with UMC and all of this information.
Falcon Graphics: Thank you for having me!
