As we continue to take a look at ‘Behind the Gates’, our third installment of this new segment allowed us to sit down with Isaac Gonzales, owner of Streamline Custom Designs, LLC. One of the premier custom car building companies in the Western part of the country, Streamline is proud to call UMC home as they are set for both a busy and banner year in 2023.
UMC: How long have you been a garage tenant at the Utah Motorsports Campus and what does the Campus provide you to aid in the successful operation of your business?
Streamline – Isaac Gonzales: Since the inception of Streamline Custom Designs in 2017, the Utah Motorsports Campus has been our headquarters. Not only does it provide the facilities and space we require to build our custom cars, but also provides great staff and support. UMC also allows for a couple of homegrown boys to reinvest back into the local community.
UMC: Your company has a large presence trackside and online. How did you get your start, how long have you been involved in motorsports and what are your future plans?
Streamline – Isaac Gonzales: Both Donnie and I were heavily influenced by our fathers and their love for cars. Donnie has cultivated this passion and love and has become an amazing artist along the way; my creativity was cultivated in the growth of people and building a business. Motorsports has also always been a big part of our lives.
Our focus is continuing to grow the business/brand and pushing ourselves to become a top builder in the nation. We have several completed builds that we plan to unveil and launch a merchandise line in the very near future.
UMC: Why did you choose UMC as your home base?
Streamline – Isaac Gonzales: Tooele is where both Donnie and I were born and raised so the decision to make the UMC our home base was simple. Our families are still growing and thriving in Tooele, so it made sense to put down roots at the UMC as we see the massive potential and capabilities of the Campus.
UMC: For people that do not know about Streamline, can you tell us what you do and where your focus is?
Streamline – Isaac Gonzales: Streamline at its core is a group of men with outstanding character and talent. We not only focus on growing as people and being a positive influence on the people around us, ee also have the honor of acting as a conduit for our clients and helping them realize their lifelong dreams of building these cars. Every person we encounter has a memory of a loved one, an image from their past, or better yet finally having the opportunity to attain a car that reflects their personality and passion. Our focus remains on quality and building relationships that will continue to last well into the future.
UMC: Can you tell us a little about your customer base and your programs?
Streamline – Isaac Gonzales: Our typical client ranges from classic car enthusiast to large-scale car collectors/entrepreneurs. We have been fortunate to have some amazing clients that share in our passion, love, and enthusiasm for these cars. We consider the classic cars to be a piece of American culture.
Currently, we offer turnkey packages for a 1932 Ford and 1950 Chevy truck; however, our talented team is able to build any car.
UMC: Anything else you want to share with our readers?
Streamline – Isaac Gonzales: 2023 is going to be a banner year for the business as we unveil the Good Guys giveaway car in Columbus, Ohio this July. This car will embark on a nationwide tour for one year until one lucky person wins this custom 1932 Ford five-window Coupe. We will also be hosting the Good Guys road tour in August once again which will bring people from around the nation as they cruise from Loveland, Colorado to Pleasanton, California.
UMC: Thank you for taking the time to sit down with UMC and all of this information.
Streamline – Isaac Gonzales: We are grateful for this opportunity and always happy to be part of the UMC family.
