Utah Motorsports Campus is proud to welcome the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) for its 13th Annual Bonneville Vintage Grand Prix Motorcycle Festival. This is the longest-running event held at this facility and has been a fan favorite since the inaugural event in 2006.
See history spring to life as the greatest two-wheeled racing machines in history take to the track. The machinery ranges from 1920s hand-shift Indians to 1970s Japanese superbikes, with historic Harley, Triumph, Norton, Vincent, BSA, Matchless, Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki nameplates filling up the grid sheets. Among the highlights of the weekend will be the annual “Battle of the CB-160s” with its unique running, Le Mans-style start, and the astounding two-man sidecars! The laid-back atmosphere and the friendliness of the competitors, plus the awesome vintage and historic bikes, combine to make it one of the most fun weekends of the year.
On-track action will take place on the 2.2-mile East Course and begins both days with practice from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Following an hour-long lunch break and opening ceremonies, racing will get underway at noon. There will be 10 classes of racing on each day.
Parade Laps benefit American Cancer Society
Also for motorcyclists, there will be parade laps available on the racetrack during lunch on both Saturday and Sunday in exchange for a $10 donation for the American Cancer Society’s new Hope Lodge in Salt Lake City (helmet and riding gear required).
